Expand Any Flashcard Deck with AI: Add More Cards in Seconds

You built a deck. You studied it. Then you covered more material and needed more cards.

Until now, the options were to create a whole new deck or add cards manually one by one. Neither is great. So we fixed it.

Add Cards with AI to Any Deck You Own

Inside any deck you own, you will now find an Add Cards with AI option. It works exactly like generating a new deck, except the cards go straight into your existing deck instead of creating a new one.

Upload a PDF of your lecture notes, take a photo of a whiteboard or textbook page, paste in some text, or just describe the topic you want cards on. The AI analyzes the content and generates new flashcards, then appends them to the deck. Your existing cards and your spaced repetition progress are untouched.

Why This Matters

Courses build on themselves. A deck you made in week two might cover the basics, but by week eight you have covered much more ground. Now you can keep one deck for the whole course and add to it as the semester progresses rather than managing five separate decks.

The same applies to any ongoing subject: a language you are learning, a certification you are working toward, a codebase you are exploring at work. One deck that grows with you is easier to manage than a pile of separate decks you have to juggle.

It Works with Every Card Type

You can add regular flashcards, quiz cards, or a mix of both to an existing deck, regardless of what card types are already in it. If your deck started as flashcard-only and you want to add some multiple choice practice, you can do that now.

Works on Collaborative Decks Too

If you are an Editor on a shared collaborative deck, you can use Add Cards with AI to contribute new content. The generated cards appear in the deck for all members instantly.

This makes it easy to divide up source material in a study group. One person uploads chapter four, another uploads chapter five, and the deck grows from everyone's contributions.
